Why You Should Buy a Mazda Miata

by | Jan 23, 2017 | Auto Repair

When most people think of a Mazda Miata, they do not think of it as a true sports car, but this is simply not the case. The Miata is a great sports car in its range and should be seriously considered. So, why should you visit a Mazda Dealer in Frankfort?

Price

High-end sports cars demand high premiums. Sure, you may find a used one with a couple of hundred thousand miles for around the same price as a Miata. On the other hand, you could buy a Miata with less than one hundred thousand. The Miata is not going to be as fast, but it is a convertible for a very reasonable price.

Reliability

Most sports cars are eventually going to have some reliability issues from their aggressive tuning. The Miata, however, won’t have these issues. Since it uses a small engine that is not turbocharged, you should expect a long, reliable life from it. Mazda is also the number eight spot for reliability among car makers in the US. This puts it above others like Honda, which did not make the top ten.

Convertible

While Mazda is now offering the Miata RF, traditionally Miatas have all had conventional convertible tops. The RF stands for Retractable Fastback, and it is a hard convertible top. This model has a higher base price than the base Miata, but if you want a fastback look with a convertible option, this is the way to go.

The new 2017 Mazda Miata is a continuation of traditional British Roadsters and is the last vehicle to carry on this tradition. They are excellent cars when it comes to reliability and offers a hard top convertible option in addition to the traditional ragtop. With a low base price for new models and relatively low used prices a Miata is a great car to consider if you want a sports car that is not going to cost you to drive.
